Debra HansonAttorney, Law Firm Owner
Raised in northern Nevada, Debra Hanson was originally an art major but changed to law after being dared to do so. She started her legal career as a legal aid attorney in Mission, South Dakota, then moved to Nebraska, where she worked as a public defender. She later returned to northern Nevada and continued working as a public defender. After marrying her husband, she moved to Idaho in 2007. During her more than 20 years as an attorney, she has worked with people from all walks of life and has learned it is important to be a part of a community and make her part of the world a better place through serving.
She has been a volunteer at Love Inc. and a mentor with Mentoring Network for over 10 years. People are important to her, and she strives to be the attorney she would want to have. As Judith Blake Eighmy said, “There’s no higher calling than to serve others. I happen to think that’s why we are on this earth.” Debra Hanson has built her career around this belief and continues to serve her community with dedication and compassion.
Debra Hanson established this law practice to offer individuals a convenient and cost-effective approach to creating wills and trust-based estate plans. Having experienced the loss of both of her parents, she understands the complex and often difficult decisions families face during such times. She also brings a deeply personal perspective to her work: her older brother was disabled from birth, giving her firsthand insight into the challenges of supporting individuals with disabilities while promoting their independence. In addition, her husband sustained a life-altering injury in an accident and is now a paraplegic, further shaping her compassionate and informed approach to estate planning.
